Working with nature: a fishers’ story

7 décembre 2023

Much of the ongoing destruction of nature is due to harmful practices in industrial farming, fishing and forestry. But in all three sectors, some actors have renounced these practices and decided to work in harmony with nature.

In this episode, Greens/EFA MEP Caroline Roose listens to the story of two fishermen from France who practise small-scale, artisanal fishing – to the benefit of nature and people.

In Golfe-Juan, Pierre and Louis do everything from fishing to selling to customers. They explain how they manage to make a decent living whilst respecting nature’s limits.
